Stewardship

As Christian Stewards, we understand ourselves to be God’s trustees on earth called to care for all that is important to God. In keeping with this trust, we seek to prayerfully and faithfully manage our gifts of family, time, talent, energy, finances, and the wonderful bounty of the earth and its resources.

Most are our members and friends share a portion of their financial resources through regular giving of tithes, offerings, and supplemental giving (see Opportunities for Giving).

In addition, we encourage each other to discover, claim, and share our God-given gifts of leadership and service in a variety of ways, both within the church and in the community. Those who need help in discovering their gifts for ministry are encouraged to talk to one of the pastors.

As a congregation, we have a historic commitment to supporting ministries of the church that reach beyond ourselves and into the world. Each year our six special “above and beyond” offerings support Christ’s ministry of justice and compassion throughout the world (see Global Outreach).
